It seems that no matter what there is just never enough time in the day! But here is my resolution. I know I said it once but I really am going to start posting more often! We now have Goats back on the farm so look for an updated page dedicated to our new family members coming soon; with pictures and information about them all.
So the other day on the farm Mom saw the funniest thing she was telling us about...
Coni has a fish pond on her front patio with several goldfish. She was out there watering plants and heard a weird sound. Thinking it was the water filter acting up she went over to check it out and here was her frog, RIDING the gold fish. Holding on for dear life with his legs on either side of the fish while the fish went bucking and jumping across the pond! Wish we all could have seen that! Well, just when you think you have all the pesky, unwanted weeds out it's time to start all over at the beginning again. Some days it's enough to make you want to cry, but when you see all those flower beds and rows neatly cleaned it's all worth it.
Now, one question I have is why are the weeds to so hard to pull out but the plants you want to grow come up like they have not roots? Just not fair I tell you! LOL It is sooo nice to have a few days of sunshine and warmth. Let's hope it lasts a bit longer. We have been out weeding and prepping the land to plant and just general after winter cleanup to get ready for the full swing of growing season!
There is still some space in our new classes so take advantage and sign up now! Yes, that is our goal. To try to post at least twice a month (or more!) as the seasons allow. Spring is here, a bit early again, and we are in full swing. We have some exciting classes we are offering this year so check out our new Class list page before you leave!
With the great weather and the burst of spring showers everything is up and growing beautifully! It's a great time to come out and visit us and see all the new green!
Well, we are surviving. Not to say it hasn't been interesting with the ice storm, the almost 70 degree weather, and now the rain!!! But we keep plugging along and soon it will be planting season. We are already getting starts ready in our greenhouse and can not wait for the weather to truly break.
We are really excited to be online! We will be updating our website over the next couple of months so please check back often. If you want to be notified when we have added products or just get our newsletter please let us know!
